The question beneath the question.

A product problem may actually be an incentives problem. A database problem may be an ontology problem. A program may have a dependency problem. I keep digging until the structure becomes visible enough to change.

Gabriel is quiet, observant, and a good listener until a question opens up a system. Then come the incentives, edge cases, historical forces, scale effects, and the possibility that the entire machine should be redesigned.

This intensity is not for every environment. It is useful in the ones that need someone to see connections other people miss, challenge “good enough,” and build something more durable than a slide deck.
